The 30-year-old Cádiz forward was the top scorer in the Second Division in the 2018-19 season with Almería. It aims to be the fourth reinforcement of the Aragonese.

Álvaro Giménez aims to be the fourth reinforcement of Real Zaragoza, which is one step away from closing its loan with Cádiz for this next season that begins on Friday. He is an area striker, a finisher, who ended up being the top scorer in the Second Division with Almería in the 2018-19 season, with 20 goals. He is also a specialist from the penalty spot.

Álvaro Giménez Candela (May 19, 1991, Elche) trained in the lower categories of Elche, making his debut with the first team on September 22, 2007 against Real Sociedad. After going through the Valencia and Mallorca affiliates, with which he made his debut in the First Division, he returned to the Elche club, where in the 2014-15 season he already became part of the first team.

Already in the summer of 2016 he emigrated to Alcorcón, for two seasons after signing for Almería and completing his best year as a professional, becoming the top scorer in the silver category of Spanish football, a fact that did not go unnoticed by Birmingham , which did not hesitate to pay the 1.5 million euros of its termination clause.

After half a season in England, Álvaro Giménez left on loan to Cádiz, achieving promotion and earning his continuity in the Cádiz team, who signed him until 2023, but the forward has not finished earning Cervera's trust and already last season had than to go out on loan to Mallorca in the winter market, getting his second promotion. In total, he has scored 32 goals in 173 games in the Second Division and intends to shine again with a new loan. If nothing goes wrong, it will be at Real Zaragoza.
