The national coach, Mikel Zabala, has summoned 20 athletes for the XCO and Downhill World Championships (from August 25 to 29 in Val di Sole, Italy). In the men's elite category, there are Olympic bronze David Valero, Ismael Esteban, Sergio Mantecón and Pablo Rodríguez. Rocío del Alba García, already recovered from her injury, returns to compete with the Spanish National Team after missing the European Championship in Novi Sad and will be the national representative in the elite female category.

In the sub23 category, the Spanish National Team will be made up of Nuria Bosch, Lucía Gómez, Jofre Cullell, Iván Feijóo and David Campos. In the junior category they will wear the colors of the national team Francesc Barber, sixth in the European Championship; Aniol Morell, Edurne Izcue and Sara Méndez.

In addition to the XCO bikers, the national squad will also be made up of the elite downhill riders Ángel Suárez, Álex Marín, Telma Torregrosa, Ainhoa Ijurko and the talented junior Pau Menoyo, winner of the Leogang World Cup event, and Aina González , third in the last World Cup in Maribor.

The competition will open on Wednesday with the Team Relay test. The XCO junior races will be held on Thursday, while on Saturday the XCO sub23 races will take place in the morning session and the elite races in the evening session, leaving all the downhill races for Sunday.
