Night of movements in the NBA. On the one hand, renovations; on the other, transfers. Udonis Haslem, at 41, has signed one more year with the Miami Heat. The Los Angeles Clippers and Memphis Grizzlies, meanwhile, have closed a deal involving four players. According to the American journalist Adrian Wojnarowski (ESPN), Patrick Beverley, Rajon Rondo and Daniel Oturu will come to the Tennessee franchise in exchange for Eric Bledsoe, who would join the Los Angeles organization. For the latter, likewise, it is the second movement of the summer. In late July, before the Draft, the New Orleans Pelicans sent Memphis to the outside electrician in exchange for Jonas Valanciunas. The Grizzlies, meanwhile, also brought in Steven Adams and rose in the young talent show. Busy summer of yours that could be extended to the protagonists of today. According to Wojnarowski himself, the intention of Memphis is to get rid of some of the newly acquired players, with Rondo being the name that sounds louder for this.

The reason is simple. Currently, the franchise already has 16 guaranteed contracts for next season, among which is Santi Aldama, and does not want to expand the payroll. Economically, in this sense, the operation is interesting for both parties. The Clippers, with the exits, manage to lower 30 million within the luxury tax and obtain an exception of 8.3 million to use during the next year. The Grizzlies, for their part, extend their salary flexibility for the summer of 2022, in which Bledsoe has signed 19 million, almost 4 of which are guaranteed. For him, it also means returning to the franchise that chose him in the Draft. It was in 2010 and, since then, he has gone through the Phoenix Suns, the Milwaukee Bucks and the Pelicans, being chosen twice in the defensive quintets of the competition. During this time, the 2015-16 season was the most productive, averaging 20.4 points, 6.1 assists and 4 rebounds. Upon his return to Los Angeles, he is expected to play an important role in the rotation.
