TV3: doctors recommend Piqué to stop for a week

He has some problems in his right calf but the center-back, committed to the current situation of the club, wants to play this Saturday at San Mamés.

According to TV3, Barça's medical services have recommended Gerard Piqué to stop for a week. The center-back has some problems in his right calf after the game against Real Sociedad, also the result of pre-season efforts. However, it is difficult to think that Piqué, in a moment of commitment to the club and in which he has tried to raise the morale of the troop, will stop now. He wants to be in San Mamés, where he also got upset in his last performances, with a defeat on the first day of LaLiga 2019-20 and a Cup elimination that same year from which he later took revenge in the final of last year.

In principle, Piqué does not have to stop in his plans because, according to AS learned, he has performed some tests and the pain he suffers is residual. Thus, the central believes that it can control it and will be in Bilbao except for surprise or unexpected deterioration in the next few hours.
