Tobias Johannessen wins at the Grand Colombier

The Spanish Carlos Rodríguez, who finished fourth, is second overall at 2:17 behind the Norwegian cyclist.

The Tour del Porvenir has a new leader: Tobias Johannessen. The Norwegian cyclist entered the finish line first at the Grand Colombier and dons the yellow jersey. The Spanish Carlos Rodríguez arrived in fourth position and placed second overall at 2:17 behind the Norwegian.

With only two stages to go to the end of the competition, Carlos Rodríguez keeps Spanish hopes alive, although it will be very difficult to beat Norwegian Johannessen. Raúl García Pina did a sensational job at the start of the ascent to the Grand Colombier, and led the Almuñecar cyclist to start the ascent with only 3 riders.

Johannessen completed the seventh stage with a time of 2: 28.23, and the Italian Filippo Zana and the British Thomas Gloag completed the podium. For his part, Rodríguez completed the 98 kilometers of the route in a time of 2: 29.47, 1.24 behind the leader.

The next stage will be held this Saturday between La Tour-en-Maurienne and Saint Jean d'Arves, in which the peloton will ascend the Col du Chaussy, first category, the Col de la Croix de Fer, special category, and the height of Saint Jean d'Arves.
