Bayern Munich has managed to tie up one of the pillars of their team for their future project. Unlike David Alaba, who ended up leaving for Real Madrid for free, the Bundesliga champion would have reached an agreement with Leon Goretzka for the German international to renew his contract at the Allianz Arena and mark an era in the Bavarian capital.

According to the German website Sport1, the agreement is complete and the officialization by the club is imminent. Always according to Sport1, the midfielder trained in the prestigious Schalke 04 quarry would sign a contract of four more years until 2026 in exchange for 15 million per year. Goretzka's contract, which even rang out for Real Madrid, was expiring at the end of the season and Bayern did not want another Alaba case, so they got down to work early. Successfully.

As with Alaba, salary was a key issue in the negotiations between Bayern and Goretzka's representatives. They were months of intense conversations until, finally, both parties reached an agreement that makes Goretzka one of the axes around which the project of coach Julian Nagelsmann will revolve during the coming seasons.
