Rafa Nadal returns to compete ... in a golf tournament

The Spanish tennis player, who resigned from the Masters 1,000 in Canada and Cincinnati, will compete in the Balearic Mid-Amateur Championship before heading to the US Open.

Rafael Nadal will return to a competition this weekend ... although he will not do so on a tennis court, something he is expected to do on August 30 when the US Open begins, the last Grand Slam of the season.

As published by the Balearic Golf Federation, Nadal appears on the list of entries for the Balearic Mid-Amateur Golf Championship held this Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 at the Arabella Golf Club Son Muntaner.

It happens that Nadal, a great golf fan, starts as the first favorite for the title since he is the golfer with the best handicap among the participants with -1,2.

In this way, Nadal, who resigned from the 1,000 Masters in Canada and Cincinnati because of his left foot discomfort from which he suffered in Washington, where he returned to compete after falling in the Roland Garros semifinals, will try to maintain his competitive character over the green before heading to the US Open in search of what would be his 21st Grand Slam.
