Petrovic, third signing of Real Zaragoza

The 32-year-old Serbian midfielder arrives at the Aragonese club with the release letter after rescinding his contract with Almería and signing for two seasons.


Real Zaragoza has just made official the signing of Radosav Petrovic, third of the Aragonese after the additions of Fran Gámez and Borja Sainz. The Serbian midfielder, who this morning has undergone the medical examination and will be presented this Wednesday, arrives with the letter of freedom and signs for two seasons after resigning the year that remained of his contract with Almería.

Petrovic (March 8, 1989, Ub, Serbia) is a defensive midfielder who covers a lot of field and who can play as a sole pivot or alongside another midfielder. It also stands out for its aerial game thanks to its 1.93 meters high.

Petrovic, who played in the 2010 World Cup with Serbia, took his first steps at Jedinstvo Ub and Radnicki Obrenovac, until in 2008 he signed for Partizan Belgrade. He then played for Blackburn Rovers, Turkish Genclerbirligi and Dynamo Kiev before joining Sporting de Portugal in 2016, which loaned him to Rio Ave in his first season in January.

Already in the summer of 2019, the Serbian midfielder signed for Almería, where in the last two seasons he has played a total of 59 games, 33 of them as a starter, losing a lot of prominence in the second of them, although at no time did he reach have the undisputed title tag. Now, at 32, he is packing his bags again to land at La Romareda.
