Pedro, goodbye to Rome

In Italy they assure that the Spaniard will leave the club this summer and already has a destination. He will be a new Lazio player, where he will arrive free.

Pedro Rodríguez is living his last days in Rome, not in the Italian capital. And, according to 'Sky Italia', the Spanish attacker, who does not count for José Mourinho, has done it with Lazio. Maurizio Sarri, the new coach of the Roman club, has been key in the operation. Pedro left a great taste in the Italian coach's mouth in the year they spent together at Chelsea (2018-19), a season in which the former Barça player scored 13 goals and distributed 5 assists. The canary will arrive at the white and blue club in the next few days and will do so for free.

In Roma, the player was losing prominence to Paulo Fonseca throughout the course, although he ended up with not inconsiderable figures: 6 goals and 7 assists in 40 games. At 34, the Canarian attacker could take a new step in his professional career. Of course, in principle it seems that he would stay in Calcio, despite having attractive offers from other lower-level leagues.

Pedro wanted to continue playing football at the highest level. The former Barcelona player still looks strong. But he will not do it under Mourinho's orders. The Portuguese arrived at the Romanista club this summer and is very clear about who is staying and who is not.
