Official: Lluís López signs for two seasons with Zaragoza

The center-back, who arrives with the release letter after terminating with Espanyol, is already exercising under JIM's orders and will be presented at 12:30 pm at La Romareda.

Real Zaragoza has just made official the signing of Lluís López, his fifth reinforcement, just five minutes after Espanyol announced the termination of the year that remained on his contract. In this way, the 24-year-old central defender arrives free at the Aragonese club, signs for two seasons and will be presented today from 12:30 p.m. at La Romareda just after exercising for the first time under Juan Ignacio Martínez. .

Lluís López Mármol (March 5, 1997, Manresa) trained in the lower categories of Espanyol and at age 24 he has 10 matches in the First Division and another 27 in the Second Division, nine of which took place in Tenerife, a club to which he marched on loan in the winter market of the season 2019-20.

There he had a great performance after confinement, proving to be a fairly valid center-back for the category and with good ball output. Last season he played another 18 matches in the Second Division in a Espanyol with Cabrera, David López and Calero. In all of them he fulfilled, but the arrival of Sergi Gómez has increased the competition and relegated Lluís López, 1.82 meters tall and international Under-19, to be again the fourth or fifth center, from what has been seen forced to leave Espanyol in search of a greater role that Real Zaragoza can offer, which a priori leaves its defense closed.
