Michael Eric arrives in Malaga to be under the command of Katsikaris

Michael Eric, Nigerian pivot of 2'10 meters, is already in Malaga. Unicaja will play five preseason games, not against Real Madrid.

Michael Eric has landed this Tuesday in Malaga and, if there are no last minute problems with the medical tests, he will be a new Unicaja player for all intents and purposes. He is a powerful 33-year-old, 2.10-meter Nigerian pivot who comes to reinforce an inside game that the Malaga team has been through in recent seasons. Eric comes from CSKA Moscow, with whom he played in the last Euroleague Final Four and won the VTB United League. He has committed for one season with an option for another.

Eric will be the second signing of Unicaja after Jonathan Barreiro. Italian guard Marco Spissu was dismissed and returned to Dinamo Sassari for failing the medical examination. The club is looking for a game director. Norris Cole, an American from ASVEL Villeurbanne, is interested in the sports director led by Juanma Rodríguez.
