Lonzo Ball goes to the Bulls

The point guard finds a place in Chicago, where he will pair outdoors with LaVine. The Pelicans still have a prize for being a sign & trade.

The Bulls have a new GM. His name is Lonzo Ball and he was one of the names marked in red in that position at the opening of the NBA market. Shams Charania (The Athletic) has been the first to report on the signing that is expected from day 6, which will be with the Chicago team.

Lonzo was a restricted free agent, but this situation will not have much effect since the agreement that has been reached is that of sign & trade, that is, he signs with the Pelicans, the team he was on, and is automatically transferred. His new contract will be 85 million for 4 seasons. Included in the deal are, as new recruits from New Orleans, point guard Tomas Satoransky and guard Garrett Temple plus, in the same package, a second-round draft pick.

Ball, who has generated a lot of conversation despite being only 23 years old, went from the Lakers to the Pelicans in the transfer of Anthony Davis and now takes the path that he has chosen to try to position himself as a reference, which was when entering the NBA being the second best of its generation in 2018.
