Loeb and Elena reconcile

The most successful couple in world motorsport will come together again to compete in the Rally Mont-Blanc of the French championship.

Reconciliation at sight. After their abrupt separation, Sebastien Loeb and Daniel Elena will compete together again. A year after their last participation in a rally in Turkey, the most successful couple in world motorsport once again share the interior of a racing car. It will be the first weekend of September at the Rally Mont-Blanc, of the French championship.

The separation between Loeb and Elena caused a great deal of dust, especially since the co-driver did not cut a hair when criticizing the Prodrive team, with whom they competed in the Dakar. Since then Loeb has only competed in one race with the BRX, the Baja Aragón, already with his new navigator in the desert races, Fabian Lurquin, with whom he almost achieved victory. In addition, he has also competed in the two appointments of the new Extreme E with the Spanish Cristina Gutiérrez as a teammate in Lewis Hamilton's team. Elena, for her part, has run a test of classic vehicles, in this case at the wheel and not in her usual seat on the right.

A seat that he regains again in Mont-Blanc, a test in which he returns with his lifelong companion aboard a Peugeot 306 Maxi from the Loeb Racing team. To round out the party, another French rally star, François Delecour, will also ride an identical mount from the same formation.

Loeb and Elena have raced together for 23 years and are the athletes with the most world titles in motorsports. They have achieved nine world rally championships and 79 victories, a record that no one has been able to match to date.
