La Real return to play against Monaco in the Europa League

They saw each other in preseason. Demanding group, but they think it could have been worse. Real Sociedad are in Group B together with Monaco, PSV Eindhoven and the Austrian team Sturm Graz.

Real Sociedad have not had much luck in the draw for the Europa League group stage. The txuri-urdin team has been framed in group B with two rivals with a lot of European tradition, such as French Monaco and Dutch PSV Eindhoven. The third team in contention of the group is the one that can be considered as the cinderella of the group, the Austrian team of Sturm Graz.

Interestingly, the Royal Society has recently faced Monaco, this same summer in preseason it received the team of the principality at the Reale Arena, where it was its most demanding rival in its preparation period. Imanol Alguacil's team won 2-0. Monaco was third last year in Ligue 1 and has in its ranks an old acquaintance of the Spanish football fans, such as Cesc Fabregas, world champion together with realist David Silva.

The second rival that Real will have to face is PSV Eindhoven, a team that became a classic in their preseason when they were training in the Netherlands. PSV were runners-up in the Eredivisie last season and have German Mario Götze as the most renowned footballer in their ranks. In the Netherlands team also the Portuguese Armindo Tu Na Pagna, Bruma, who played for Real for one season, in 2015-16.

And the third team in the group is supposedly the weakest rival, the Austrian team Sturm Graz, which last season was 4th in the Austrian Bundesliga and has three league championship titles from their country and an Intertoto of UEFA. From Graz, curiously, he is one of the few Austrian players who has played for Real, striker Markus Purk.
