Jon Rahm will compete in the Andalucía Golf Masters

The Basque golfer has confirmed his participation in the Estrella Damm Andalucía Masters, which will be held at the Real Club Valderrama in San Roque from October 14 to 17.

Biscayan golfer Jon Rahm, world number one and US Open champion, announced this Tuesday his participation in the next Estrella Damm Andalucía Masters tournament, which will be held at the Real Club Valderrama field, in San Roque (Cádiz), the next October.

The 26-year-old Basque player plans to return to a tournament that will take place from October 14 to 17 in the town of San Roque and in which he already participated in 2019, the organization reported in a statement.

Rahm has achieved two of his seven victories on the European Tour on Spanish soil, so now he wants to try to win in one of the most famous fields in Europe, which has hosted, among other tournaments, the Ryder Cup.

In his last appearance at Valderrama, Rahm finished second behind South African Christiaan Bezuidenhout.

"I have unfinished business in Valderrama, of course," said Rahm in reference to his runner-up two years ago.

"All Spaniards want to win in this field," he pointed out in demonstrations broadcast by the organization.

"Whenever I play in my country or at home I enjoy it very much. The Spanish fans are very special to me and I am looking forward to seeing them on the golf course again", he added.

Since turning pro in 2017, Rahm has accumulated 12 victories on the European Tour and the PGA Tour, including his victory last July at the US Open at Torrey Pines and his four Rolex Series titles.
