Bilbao Basket kicks off on August 9 and will play five games

Their rivals will be the promoted Breogán, Hereda San Pablo, Pau-Lacq-Orthez, Casademont Zaragoza and Baskonia in the Euskal Kopa. It will be concentrated in Gijón between August 26 and 29.


Bilbao Basket will start the preseason work next Monday, August 9, and during that preparation phase it will play five friendly matches, in addition to holding a four-day concentration in Gijón. They will face the recently promoted Breogán from Lugo, Hereda San Pablo, French Pau-Lacq-Orthez, Casademont Zaragoza and Baskonia from Vitoria.

The matches against Breogán and San Pablo will be on August 21 and 27 at the Palacio de los Deportes in Gijón, both at 7:30 p.m. In the Asturian city, Bilbao Basket will be held between August 26 and 29. The rest of the clashes will be on September 1, 4 and 12 in the Cantabrian town of Laredo (Polideportivo Emilio Amavisca) in front of Pau-Lacq-Orthez; in Pamplona against Zaragoza; and in Santurtzi (Mikel Trueba sports center, 12:30 pm) the Euskal Kopa against Baskonia.

The Mumbrú team will not start the preseason in full, as the Americans Goudelock and Withey will join later. Nor will the Swede Hakanson, concentrated with his team until August 20, be on the first day. The youth players Iker Chacón, Aiert Velasco, David Monge and Gonzalo Basterrechea also join the first team preseason. Tomorrow will start the medical tests by turns of the men in black.
