Ayuso and Rodríguez give up time in the madness of the fans

The Netherlands continue to dominate the start of this 57th edition of the Tour of the Future. After winning a team time trial in which the Spanish team was second, they not only kept Van Dijke's yellow jersey, but also increased their overall income in a third stage marked by leaks, falls, nerves and the fans. Juan Ayuso and Carlos Rodríguez, as the best Spanish tricks for the general classification, were not able to filter into the leading group in the last kilometers and gave up time compared to the leader's group.

The leg-breaking stage was marked by falls. As a consequence of one of them he was forced to leave Waerenskjold, winner of the first two stages of this Future. Almost from the start, a fugitive quartet formed by Coqueret (Grand Est-Hauts de France), Mirzojev (Estonia), Thiebaud (Switzerland) and Ward (Ireland) was consolidated. Their good understanding allowed them to open a gap quickly, with a maximum advantage that grew over five minutes. In the peloton, the mechanical problems also affected Juan Ayuso, but luckily, without consequences or problems to return to the level of the rest of the favorites.As hostilities broke out in the main group, the escapees saw their advantage diminish at breakneck speed. 45 km from the finish the neutralization took place, but the tension only increased. The fans were produced and the platoon shattered into a thousand pieces. In the first group, the yellow jersey, Van Dijke, was leaked, but Ayuso or any other representative of the Spanish squad could not do the same. Finally, after a series of counterattacks in the leading group, the Dutchman Marijn van Den Berg won the sprint. This Tuesday, fourth stage of 184 km, ideal for ambushes in the last kilometers with leg-breaking terrain.
