Atlético accelerates the exit operation ... with the youth players

Crucial hours in the transfer market: today closes, it is the last day. Riquelme, Ricard, Camello and Montero are the last to leave.

A few hours after the transfer market closes, the Atlético de Madrid offices are in full swing. The club needs to release the players who do not count for the first team, but have a much higher level than Atlético B, who will play in Third RFEF. A talent drain forced by the competitiveness of the first team and the demotion of the B.

One of the pearls of the quarry is Rodrigo Riquelme. The right winger has headed for Miranda de Ebro, where he will play for Mirandés, in the Second Division. It is a one-year loan, since he has a contract until 2024 with the rojiblanco club. The Madrilenian comes from playing a season at Bournemouth, in the English Second Division, where he scored 2 goals in just 19 games, with a total of 484 minutes.

Following in Riquelme's footsteps is Sergio Camello. The Atlético B forward will also leave on loan to Mirandés in search of minutes. Camello made his debut with the first team and scored a goal against Levante in the 19-20 season, but did not quite convince Simeone. For the striker it will be an important leap in his career, as he has never played in the silver category of Spanish football. It will be a good test to measure your level and see if you are ready to make the final leap to the first team.

For his part, Ricard Sánchez is already in Granada, training under the orders of Robert Moreno. The right-back has signed for four seasons with the Nasrid team, leaving the rojiblanco club definitively. It seems that the intention of his new team is to hand him over to Lugo. In this way, the defender would close the Lugo defense and gain experience for the next few seasons with the Granada shirt.

Javi Montero will return to pack his bags for Turkey. The central defender will play again for Besiktas, where he was last season and it seems they were happy with his performance. This time, it is negotiated if the assignment will be with an option to buy. Besiktas were League and Cup champions, which allows them to play in the Champions League this season, being one of the members of group C along with Sporting, Dortmund and Ajax. Montero played 17 games, with a total of 1,243 minutes. A great season for the Turkish entity and for Atlético's Andalusian defender.

These players follow in the footsteps of other teammates such as Toni Moya, who definitely left for Alavés and has already made his debut with the Vitoria team; San Román, bought by Huesca; Mollejo, who will make his second season on loan at Mallorca (or maybe change teams at the last minute); or Borja Garcés, who made his debut this weekend with Leganés, where he will be on loan for the entire season.
