Valencia presents itself to Jaisel Rivero for its 35th anniversary

The 'taronja' have made official the signing of the power forward from San Pablo Burgos, on the same day they celebrate 35 years as a sports entity.

Happy birthday for Valencia Basket. The Taronja entity has made official the signing of Cuban power forward Jasiel Rivero for the next two seasons after having paid the player's clause, which was 150,000 euros. All this on the day that the Valencian club celebrates its 35 years of life as a sports entity.

The Cuban arrives from San Pablo Burgos and it was one of the wishes of the new coach, Joan Peñarroya, who also trained Burgos last season and wanted to count on him. At 27 years old and 2.06 in height, he will provide the team with a powerful and physical rotation since his incorporation joins that of Víctor Claver.

Rivero has exploded in its second season in Burgos, playing 35 games in the Endesa League with averages of 12.2 points and 5.6 rebounds in a historic year for the team, where it managed to qualify for the first time in its history for the Copa del Rey and the PlayOff for the title. The Cuban was in the second best quintet of the ACB and received interests from Euroleague clubs, but the project of the Turia capital and his former (and now new) coach have convinced him.
