Sanli, luxury reinforcement

The pivot, from Anadolu Efes, signed for two seasons with the Barça club after proclaiming himself champion of the Euroleague.

The Barça squad will experience several significant changes this summer and the first signing could not be less: Sertac Sanli will be Barça until 2023. One of the best centers in Europe, Euroleague champion, who has decided to leave Anadolu Efes to play the orders of Jasikevicius in Barcelona. A signing that was already known, but that is finally official.

At 29 years old and 2'13 tall, Sanli arrives at Barça in the best moment of his career, having won everything with Anadolus Efes being a key piece of the Turkish team. He has been decisive throughout the course both in the domestic competition and in the Euroleague, but it was in the Final Four where his numbers improved considerably. An improvement that Barça suffered in the final, where little could do to stop him despite being touched. During the Final Four weekend Sanli averaged 15.5 points, grabbed 5 rebounds and played 19 minutes on average. His percentages of two (66%) and free throw (81.5%) were also notable.

Sanli arrives in Barcelona after a career that has led him to wear the shirts of Galatasary, Gazintep, Muratbey Usak, Trabzonsport, Besiktas and, finally, Anadolu Efes. In addition, he is international with Turkey, with whom he is currently preparing the Pre-Olympic. This will be your first adventure outside your country.

With the arrival of Sanli, Barça reinforces the position of five, one of the most diminished at this end of the season. At the exit of Pustovyi it is necessary to add the more than probable separation of Pau, reason why the incorporation of a pivot was more than necessary. He will share position and minutes with the other interiors of the team (Davies, Mirotic, Smits and Oriola) with whom he will compete for a place in the team. His definitive signing is at the expense of passing the medical examination, something that should not be a problem.
