Sadiku, another adept for the cause of Las Palmas

The Albanian striker is linked to the island entity until June 30. It will arrive in Gran Canaria this Sunday to be presented on Monday.

No matter how much he signed Peñaranda and renewed Jesé, Las Palmas was in need of more stimuli in attack. It happens that Araujo went to AEK and Espiau to SD Ponferradina, while Clau Mendes will be a wild card between the first team and the subsidiary. Today, the first day of stay in Gran Canaria after the concentration of Marbella, an open secret was made official: Armando Sadiku reinforces the offensive front that Pepe Mel will have at his disposal.

UD itself made official a few minutes ago the incorporation of the Albanian striker, who signs a contract with the Gran Canaria team for one season, until June 30, a link subject in any case to the mandatory medical examination, which Sadiku will do the Monday in the capital of Gran Canaria. It will land on the island on Sunday, and if there are no last minute surprises, it will be presented the next day after passing through the hospital.

Sadiku already knows Spanish football, because in 2018 he signed with Levante, which loaned him to Lugano (Switzerland) and later to Malaga. In the capital of the Costa del Sol a pleasant memory is kept of him, since his 13 goals were decisive to seal the permanence in the Second Division. Now, after going through the Turkish and Bolivian leagues, he arrives in Las Palmas free of charges and without a team to be held accountable by way of assignment or transfer. Precisely, that he lands free was a fundamental condition to certify his signing with the Unión Deportiva Las Palmas.

After this signing, Las Palmas has four fixed forwards: Jesé, Rafa Mujica, Peñaranda and Sadiku himself. It is also the sixth signing made to date by his new team. Before that, Raúl Navas, Unai Veiga, Erick Ferigra, Pinchi and Peñaranda, also a former Malaguista, arrived.
