Rodado and Castel mark territory

As Ibiza probes the market for a forward, Rodado and Castel showed their quality by scoring in the last two pre-season friendlies.

The old UD Ibiza attacking guard appeared in the last two friendly matches played by the Ibiza team. Against Mallorca in the First Division, striker Ángel Rodado scored a great goal that at times gave the sky-blue an advantage. Meanwhile, against Andorra, a goal from Sergio Castel gave the islanders the victory. The two attackers mark territory waiting to see if the arrival of a forward finally takes place.

Because the desire of the club is to incorporate an attacker who makes direct competition to the vanguard men who are already in the squad that Juan Carlos Carcedo trains and who, incidentally, can improve that team line in the demanding campaign in the Second Division. Meanwhile, both Castel and Rodado are pushing hard in this preseason to make it clear that they can be counted on in the silver competition, in which both will debut this same year 21-22. LaLiga SmartBank will be a showcase for them.

Last year, in Second B, Castel's contribution to the celestial players was fundamental, since he scored seven goals in the League and three in the Copa del Rey. Spectacular was his performance in the cup duel against Celta de Vigo, which cost the Galicians elimination with two targets from the Ibiza player, who the club has signed after being loaned out last season by Atlético de Madrid. At 26, he arrives at a good moment of maturity to give more joys. This past Tuesday, against Andorra, he showed that he has not lost his sense of goal.

A Rodado also wants to shine that has not stopped growing since it arrived at UD Ibiza. The Mallorcan joined the Ibiza club in August 2018 from Mallorca, ready to succeed on the neighboring island. In 94 official matches with the Pitiusans he has scored 29 goals, of which he achieved six last year. In the duel against Mallorca last weekend he also made it clear, with a beautifully made goal almost from the center of the field, that he will seek prominence in Segunda.

The same as Davo, another of Ibiza's offensive props that against Andorra could be seen that he is beginning to get better and better, and that he continues to understand wonderfully with his teammate Castel. From a play between both came the victory goal. But the general good news for the team led by Carcedo is that they have a goal and that they create chances to score. The islanders have pierced the rival goal in three of the four friendly matches they have played to date.In addition to the goals mentioned by Castel and Rodado, we must add the two achieved by the Galician Miki Villar and the Polish Mateus Bogusz, who served to confirm the 2-0 victory against the Saudi Al Raed. Two of the new faces that have already appeared with the Balearic Islands, who resume training this Thursday but already in Eivissa.

The next friendly match will be on August 3 against Peña Deportiva, an Ibizan team that this season will play in the Second RFEF. The match will be played in the field next to the Can Misses stadium. It will be the penultimate test before the premiere in LaLiga SmartBank on August 13 against Zaragoza, at the La Romareda stadium.
