Riki Rodríguez arrives at Burgos on loan from Oviedo

The Asturian midfielder, who played on loan last season at Racing Santander, becomes the fifth signing of the Burgos team.

Burgos continues to complete its squad for next season and has obtained the loan from Oviedo of midfielder Riki Rodríguez, who will defend the colors of the black and white team until the end of the season. The Asturian midfielder also played on loan last season at Racing Santander, where he scored four goals. He has a contract with the Carbayón club until 2023, but his intention is that he can gain experience in the SmartBank League and not part with their services in the future. The youth squad from Oviedo is 23 years old and his first outing outside Asturias was last year, so this will be his second experience away from Oviedo.

With the arrival of Riki Rodríguez, the black-and-white team has increased its squad by five new players, since previously goalkeeper Alfonso Herrero, defenders Greco Sierra and Fran García had joined, as well as midfielder Andy Rodríguez.

The intention of Julián Calero is to have at his disposal a squad of at least 22 players, so at least five other additions are expected. The idea that some of the twelve players who continue in last year's team may find another accommodation for next season is not ruled out either.

The team coached by Julián Calero played its third preseason test today in Tajonar against Osasuna and suffered its first defeat in these tests prior to the start of the official competition, by the result of two to zero.
