FIFA confirmed this Friday the perpetual sanction imposed on the former national referee coordinator of the Haitian Football Federation (FHF), Rosnick Grant, when it found him guilty of abuse of power, as well as sexual abuse and harassment, coercion and threats. The decision-making body of FIFA's independent Ethics Committee terminated the proceeding that is part of a comprehensive investigation into the FHF, in which several officials have allegedly been involved in systematic sexual abuse of female players and coaches (either as perpetrators, accomplices or instigators) in the period 2011-2020.

Other Haitian executives were previously sanctioned for this reason and in the case of Rosnick Grant it was found that between 2011 and 2021 their conduct was related to sexual abuse and harassment, in addition to threats and coercion to prevent such sexual abuse from being uncovered to referees. FIFA noted that the sanctioned man also took advantage of his position as the soccer refereeing authority in Haiti to receive sexual favors, for which he was disqualified for life from participating in activities related to soccer nationally and internationally and fined 100,000 Swiss francs .
