Pepe Pozas signs for three seasons with Betis

The point guard, from the Monbus Obradoiro, is awaiting the medical examination. Last season, he averaged an 8.9 PIR.

The base Pepe Pozas has signed for Coosur Betis for the next three courses after the last seven at Monbus Obradoiro, the Betis club reported this Friday. Pozas, 29, who will sign once he passes the medical examination, played 20 games last season, averaging 23 minutes, 5.4 points, 4.7 assists and a PIR of 8.9.

Pepe Pozas' professional career started at Unicaja de Málaga, where he trained and made his debut in ACB (2010/11); and after his time at CB Valladolid (2013/14), he made the leap to Monbus Obradoiro, where he has been a key player in the consolidation of the Galician project in the Endesa League.

The new Verdiblanco point guard leaves Galicia becoming the player who has worn the Obradoiro shirt the most (201) and being one of the leaders of Moncho Fernández's team. In Pozas' record, there is a Junior Spanish Championship with Unicaja (2008/09) and a European Under-20 with the Spanish National Team.

In his first statements as Betis, the Malaga base said that with everyone's work, "sure" that you can "get beautiful things", although "you have to go step by step: Sevilla and Betis are a very good option to get excited "he stated.
