UD Ibiza has reported this Thursday afternoon that José Antonio Pardo Lucas will not continue in the squad of his team in the Second Division. The Valencian defender and the Ibizan club have reached an agreement for the termination of the contract that united them, which was extended for one more season, according to the information provided by the communication department of the island entity.

The 33-year-old central defender participated in 22 official matches with Ibiza last year, with a total of 1,259 accumulated minutes, according to the statistics collected on the website www.bdfutbol.com.

"From UD Ibiza we want to thank you for your work and professionalism, as well as we wish you all the best in the future," says the island club in the statement published on its social networks and website.Possible interest in Dani Fernández

On the other hand, Ibiza could have set its eyes on the right-back Dani Fernández, as the journalist Ángel García has advanced in his professional Twitter account. Precisely, the right-handed side of the defense is one of the positions that the Balearic team needs to reinforce, which this Friday will play its first pre-season friendly. It will be against Getafe of the First Division at La Manga Club. The clash will be played at 10 am and will be broadcast by 'streaming' by IB3.
