Naranjo becomes the ninth incorporation of Ponferradina

The attacker returns to Spanish football after his experience in Cyprus and arrives with the letter of freedom under his arm after terminating with Tenerife.

Ponferradina announced this Monday, before the start of training, the arrival of its ninth signing of the summer. This is the left winger José Naranjo, who arrives at Toralín with the letter of freedom under his arm after rescinding the contract that linked him to Tenerife, a team for which he was loaned last season at AEK Larnaca in Cyprus.

At 26 years old, the attacker can be considered an experienced player, since he began his career in the Second Division in the 2012-13 season, in the ranks of Recreativo de Huelva. Later, he played in the Villarreal affiliate, with whose first team he debuted in the Copa del Rey, and in the Nàstic de Tarragona, with whom he shone in the Second Division, scoring 16 goals.

That good work earned him to sign for Celta, in the First Division, although he did not make his debut in that category with the Celtiña team, but in the winter market he left on loan to the Belgian Genk, with whom he reencountered his football . This allowed him to return to Spain and sign with Leganés, with whom he did debut in the First Division, before leaving for Tenerife. After a good first season in the chicharrero team, in which he scored six goals, he lost prominence in the second, the last one, in whose winter market he went to Cyprus, specifically, to AEK Larnaca. Seven goals and five assists in just over 2,000 minutes polished his performance, despite which Tenerife rescinded him.

The attacker from Huelva has become the ninth incorporation of a renovated Ponferradina, which, however, has not specified the duration of his contract, which, according to Bierzo Sport, could be two years. It reinforces a plot, that of the three-quarters of the field, in which Bolo's team has suffered several casualties, such as Curro Sánchez, already officially a player for Almería.
