Mondelo: "We must take advantage, we will not have more friendlies"

The coach speaks from Paris, where this Saturday the women's team plays against France at 17:30 (Tdp) their last game before Tokyo.

The women's national basketball coach, Lucas Mondelo, acknowledged that the preparation is over and that they have to "take advantage" of the second friendly this Saturday against France, in Paris, to get to the Tokyo Olympics in the best possible way.

"We must take advantage to compete, without looking at the result. We will not have more options to play more preparation games, so we must take advantage of it," he said in statements provided by the Spanish Basketball Federation (FEB) .

Spain returned to action on Thursday with a good victory over the galas at the Martín Carpena in Malaga. The current Olympic runners-up left behind the recent Eurobasket, where they lost in the quarterfinals against Serbia, to think about Tokyo 2020.

"I'm very happy, more than for the result because of how well we have competed in defense and attack. The result has been a consequence of how we have worked," he added.
