Monchu is already a Granada player

The midfielder, who made his departure from Barcelona official yesterday, has signed for Granada although the Catalans keep 50 percent of the rights in a future sale.

Ramón Rodríguez, Monchu, is already a Granada player. As a midfielder he separated from Barcelona yesterday and today he has made his signing for the Nasrid club for which he has signed for three seasons. The midfielder was a wish of Robert Moreno and, although he has been in the city of the Alhambra since Sunday, the agreement could not be closed until today.

After a great season at Girona, where he arrived on loan from Barcelona, Monchu wanted to make the jump to a Primera and Granada has convinced him. However, the Barça team had carried out an automatic renewal that has forced a negotiation that has delayed its signing. The Catalan club reserves 50 percent in a future signing, a right of first refusal and a buyback option. The player will sign for three seasons. At 21 years old, he will finally make the leap to First after being one of the great promises of La Masía.

Monchu was one of the key pieces of Girona last year. After arriving at the age of 13 at the Barcelona quarry, he was climbing steps, even making his debut in the Champions League. Last year he decided to go out in search of minutes and it was one of Segunda's revelations. Now comes the opportunity to settle in First with the confidence of Moreno. Monchu has been in Granada since Sunday already integrated as one more waiting to make his signing official.
