Míchel Herrero reinforces the center of the Tenerife field

The footballer arrives from Real Valladolid and has committed to the next two seasons. "I did not hesitate for a second," said the Valencian.

Míchel Herrero (Valencia, 1988) has become Tenerife's sixth signing this season. He comes in to shore up midfield and has committed for the next two years. "The interest that Juan Carlos Cordero has shown, and Tenerife itself, has been impressive. Those are the things that footballers have to value and I doubted it for a second," he admitted in the official media.

The Valencian has a great experience in the First Division, with more than 170 games in teams such as Valencia, Deportivo, Getafe, Levante and Real Valladolid, the club from which he comes and in which he played the last five seasons, becoming captain. He also went through Chinese football and was on loan for a year at Real Oviedo.

"I am excited and eager," he said. "The group has to be a family and from the union, and with everyone's help, I hope we can achieve the goals we set for ourselves," said the experienced player.

Míchel started in the lower categories of Valencia. With the subsidiary he played 44 matches in Second B. During the 2008/09 season, he had the opportunity to enjoy his first minutes in LaLiga Santander until he completed 46 appearances. At that time, in addition, he was proclaimed champion of the 2011 U21 Eurocup with the Spanish team.

Once he has undergone the relevant medical examinations, he will join the staff of Luis Miguel Ramis, who already has five other incorporations: Juan Soriano, Jérémy Mellot, José León, Álex Corredera and Elady Zorrilla.
