Mayoral leaves, Mourinho smiles

The Portuguese coach made his debut with Roma in their first friendly. They beat Montecatini 10-0, from the Italian fifth division. Borja Mayoral scored a hat-trick.

José Mourinho is back. The Portuguese coach led his first match as coach of Roma. It was against the modest Montecatini, from Eccellenza, that is, the fifth division of Italian football. A most placid friendly: they won by a more than forceful 10-0, to open their mouths and improve feelings for the premiere in Serie A on August 22 against Fiorentina.

One of the main protagonists of Mou's first victory at the command of the she-wolf was Borja Mayoral. The Spanish forward, in his second year on loan with the Giallorossi, wanted to earn the Portuguese's trust with goals: he scored his first hat-trick of the preseason. Another Spaniard who joined the party was Carles Pérez, who hopes to win a spot (Gonzalo Villar also had minutes). The rest of so many were the work of Nicolò Zaniolo, Gianluca Mancini, Amadou Diawara, Riccardo Calafiori, Nicola Zalewski and a bit of the Tuscan painting.

Precisely, another of the good news was the return of Zaniolo, one of the main jewels of Calcio. On September 7, 2020, the Italian, during a match with the Nazionale against the Netherlands, was injured. Hours later, it was made official that the cruciate ligament was torn for the second time, although this time it was in his left knee (the first was on the right). Today, July 15, the Tuscan has returned to the playing fields, in addition to seeing the door.
