Malaga hope to close a goalkeeper and two forwards this week

Malaga currently has 13 players with a professional record and hopes this week to close the arrival of a goalkeeper and one or two forwards.

The transfer market is not being easy for Málaga. Like last season, the club is forced to imaginatively make up for its lack of financial resources and is aware that many of the players it wants may end up in other teams with greater economic potential. One of the latest examples has been that of one of the homegrown players, Juan Cruz, who played several games with the first team and who has gone to the Betis subsidiary.

Despite this handicap, Málaga has managed to sign, at zero cost, two good players: Javi Jiménez and Paulino de la Fuente. In addition to these additions, Manolo Gaspar, the sports director, has managed to renew the contracts of Jozabed and Pablo Chavarría. The first after terminating his contract with Celta. The second is recovering from his torn ligaments and is expected to be active in October.

Currently, Málaga has 13 players with a professional record, namely Dani Barrio, Alexander González, Iván Calero, Juande Rivas, Lombán, Luis Muñoz, Escassi, Jairo, Benkhemassa and the aforementioned Javi Jiménez, Jozabed, Chavarría and Paulino de la Fountain. To these 13 must be added Hicham who this year will have to make a professional record. The club also plans to do the same with Ismael and Ramón Enríquez.

Important week for more reinforcements

Málaga is trying to incorporate a goalkeeper, a central defender, two midfielders and two forwards. Between six or nine players to try to complete a squad with 21 or 23 professional chips depending on what the salary limit and the flexibility of LaLiga can give of itself.
