Luisle triumphs and Ayuso pushes hard

The cyclist from Mula prevails in the Ordizia Classic ahead of Juan Ayuso and Roger Adrià in a race that was resolved in the final sprint.


Luis León Sanchez has been proclaimed winner of the 98th edition of the Ordizia Villafranca-Clásica Test. The Mula cyclist completed the 165.7 kilometer track ahead of Juan Ayuso and Roger Adrià, in a race that was decided in the final sprint.

The Astana team rider completed the route starting and finishing in the Guipuzcoan municipality of Ordizia in a time of 3 hours, 51 minutes and 30 seconds. Ayuso (UAE) and Adrià (Khern Pharma) were the only cyclists in a sextet that was formed in the last kilometers, who were able to face the Murcian in the last meters.

In this way, Luis León Sánchez collects the witness of the British Simon Carr, who won the test in the 2020 edition.
