Kondogbia tests positive

The Atlético de Madrid midfielder has tested positive for COVID-19 after the tests carried out this morning and is in asylum complying with health recommendations.

This morning, Atlético de Madrid has performed antigen tests on its players before traveling to Burgo de Osma to play the friendly against Numancia. The entire squad has tested negative, but Kondogbia has undergone an additional PCR, as he planned to travel on the two days off that the players have after the game.

It was in this additional PCR that the Kondogbia positive was discovered, which, following the health protocol, has forced the midfielder to remain isolated in Madrid until the test result is negative.

This is the second positive for Atlético de Madrid since they returned to training, the first being that of Manu Sánchez, who returned to training yesterday.
