Ismael Bako, the pivot that Baxi Manresa needed

The Belgian (25 years old and 2.08 meters) will play at the Nou Congost for the next two seasons. It arrives from the French Asvel Villeurbanne.

Baxi Manresa already has its starting center for the 21/22 season after incorporating Belgian Ismael Bako, who last season played in the Euroleague with ASVEL Villeurbanne.

The player, 25 years old and 2.08 meters tall, arrives at the Nou Congost, where he will play the next two seasons.Bako's career

Bako is international for Belgium and is an athletic player, with great ability to play above the rim. In the last season he has starred in many of the most spectacular plays in the French League. His signing responds to the need of Pedro Martínez, Baxi Manresa coach, to have pivots who can run the court.

The Belgian player also has experience in the Champions League, the same competition that he will play for the Manresa team this season. His participation was with the Antwerp Giants of Belgium in the 2018-2019 season. Before that, he was also a member of the Leuven Bears in the Belgian First Basketball Division. In his last season with Asvel, Bako averaged 5.6 points and 3.6 rebounds per game in domestic competition.

It is the eighth signing and, in principle the last, of Baxi Manresa for the following season. The Belgian player completes the inside game after the arrivals of centers Luke Maye, Chima Moneke and Marcis Steinbergs. In addition, center Yankuba Sima continues from last season and will be Ismael Bako's position partner.
