The MotoStudent team of the UPV / EHU Bilbao School of Engineering has obtained first place in the braking test with its gasoline motorcycle in the MotoStudent International Competition held this weekend at the MotorLand Aragón circuit.

The School of Engineering has reported that 800 participants from 83 teams from 16 countries and 4 continents gathered at the Alcañiz circuit (Teruel).The Basque team, made up of 20 students and 3 teachers, has achieved first place in the braking test in the gasoline motorcycle mode, although they had to abandon the race three laps from the end due to lack of fuel.

The students of the School had to change the engine within 45 minutes of starting the race due to a failure in the one initially supplied by the organization

In the electric motorcycle modality, in which the UPV / EHU School participated for the first time, the Basque team's motorcycle finished in seventeenth position among the 50 participants and obtained fifth place in the braking tests.
