Hungarian Marko Filipovity, sixth signing of Obradoiro

The international power forward, "with good physique and the ability to open the field", arrives from Basket Pesaro for the next two seasons.

The Hungarian international Marko Filipovity became the sixth signing of Monbus Obradoiro this Thursday, arriving from Basket Pésaro and with whom he signed a contract for the next two seasons.

"He is a power forward with good physique and the ability to open the field thanks to his threat of shooting. He also stands out for his play in transition and without the ball. We are talking, in short, of a player on the rise, with the ability to rebound and that completes our inner game ", affirmed the general director of the club, José Luis Mateo.

Absolute international with Hungary, he played five seasons in the Magyar competition (Alba Fehervar and KC Szombathely) before arriving in Italy, where last season he averaged 12.8 points, 6.0 rebounds, 0.7 recoveries and 1.2 losses in 28.3 minutes (28 games played) in Lega.

It is the sixth reinforcement announced by the Obradoiro for the 2021-22 season, after Fernando Zurbriggen (Sanitary Works), Viny Okouo (Gizpuzkoa Basket), Braydon Hobbs (Oldenburg), Henry Ellenson (Raptors 905 Mississauga) and Thomas Scrubb (JL Bourg) .
