Claver returns to Valencia Basket

The Valencian forward returns home and signs for the next three seasons after leaving Barcelona yesterday.

Víctor Claver (Valencia, 1988) returns home. The forward formed in the quarry of Maristas Valencia and later Valencia Basket signs with the club that saw him debut in the ACB for the next three seasons. Claver, 2.08 meters, had left Barcelona yesterday, the club where he has won the Endesa League and Copa del Rey this season, as well as being a finalist in the Euroleague. And Valencia had it tied to announce it today.

Claver, who is currently concentrating with the Spanish National Team to play the Tokyo Olympics, completes the Valencia Basket outside line and now it only remains for Mulero to sign a 4 that gives consistency to the inside game, probably an American. With López-Aróstegui and Claver, Valencia alleviates the departures of various forwards such as Marinkovic, San Emeterio, Joan Sastre and Nikola Kalinic.

The new Valencia Basket player made his professional debut in the ranks of the Taronja club in October 2006 and played a total of 241 games in six seasons, lifting the Eurocup title in 2010. He then made the leap to the NBA (80 games in Houston Rockets and Denver Nuggets) to return to Europe, specifically Russia (Khimkhi and Lokomotiv Kuban). In 2016, Barcelona reached an agreement with Valencia, who still had their rights in Spain, and signed him. He has played six seasons at the Palau, where he has won one Endesa League and three Copa del Rey. In the National Team, he has played 152 games and has achieved seven medals.
