Braithwaite: Barça finds 'an ally'

With the money that Arsenal will pay for Ben White, Brighton would have enough cash to undertake the signing of the Danish forward.

Although Martin Braithwaite's desire is to continue at Can Barça, the arrival of various reinforcements for the offensive field has practically exhausted all possibilities for the Danish forward to continue under Ronald Koeman. However, after the good European Championship held with his team, Braithwaite does not seem to be short of offers. Although the increasingly close signing of Ben White by Arsenal seems to have nothing to do with the culé team, the departure of the English defender from Brighton & Hove Albion could end with the Danish FC Barcelona player in the Premier League.

According to the Catalan newspapers Mundo Deportivo and Sport, the southern England team would be preparing an offer of close to € 15M to acquire the services of Martin Braithwaite thanks to the more than € 50M they will receive from Arsenal for the signing of the already mentioned Ben White. The English international defender would arrive in London to prop up the Gunners' defense and the Seagulls would use part of the money obtained to improve an attack that last season only added 21 points among the seven forwards who participated during the season.

While both media are talking about Brighton not being the only Premier League team interested in hiring Martin Braithwaite, there are those who still leave the possible arrival of the Dane in England up in the air. British journalist Andy Naylor, Brighton correspondent for The Athletic, has stated in recent hours that neither Arsenal player Reiss Nelson nor Martin Braithwaite himself are of interest to the Seagulls at this time.
