Anna van der Breggen wins the Giro d'Italia for the fourth time

The Dutch Anna van der Breggen (SD Worx) was crowned this Sunday champion of the Giro d'Italia for the fourth time in her career.

He celebrated his fourth victory in the general with his arms raised, after the American Coryn Rivera (DSM), the British Lizzie Deignan (Trek-Segafredo) and the Swiss Elise Chabbey (Canyon-SRAM), to whom he did not discuss the triumph of stage knowing the wearer of the pink jersey.

Anna van der Breggen had already won the Giro d'Italia in 2015, 2017 and 2020.In this edition, her teammates Ashleigh Moolman-Pasio (+1: 43) and Demi Vollering (+3: 25), second and third respectively in the general classification, guarded her on a podium crowned by cyclists from the SD Worx team. The tenth and last stage of the Giro d'Italia took the riders from the town of Capriva del Friuli to Cormòns this Sunday, over a 113-kilometer route. Rivera took the stage win with a time of 2h56: 40.
