Stage 1 of the Tour de France: this is the general classification

Alaphilippe conquered the stage and donned the first yellow jersey. Stage marked by two terrible massive falls. Superman gave up time. Roglic rewarded.

Julian Alaphilippe scored a double on the first stage of the 2021 Tour de France: stage victory and lead. The Frenchman beat the rest of the general favorites with a sensational attack at 2.3 km from the finish line to which none could respond. Primoz Roglic got a bonus by entering third, while Pello Bilbao and Enric Mas arrived in the main group without wasting time.
