Four days before the start of the 2021 Tour de France (June 26 to July 18), the Movistar Team presented in society the new 'skin' that will wear this course from the Grande Boucle. The virtual presentation act was led by Eusebio Unzué and Carlos Verona, in the absence of an Alejandro Valverde who could not be present for personal reasons, and showed the Telefónica Tech logo on the sides of the jersey and shorts, as a new technological hallmark of which it will be worth the team to be the leader of cycling in the future.

But the most immediate stop comes in Brest, a town that will host the start of the 108th edition of the Tour, and in whose region rains are expected for the first stages of the race. In the words of Unzué, the strategy of the telephone group will go through not wasting time before the first time trial (stage five), in search of the Alps that will show the true face of each favorite. "From the climb to Tignes we will see how we are all and we will define who of our leaders will support the other. The unknown will be cleared by the race itself. Without forgetting bad luck, which is sometimes the worst rival."Shared leadership

Among those great contenders for the podium on the Champs Elysees are Miguel Ángel López and Enric Mas, who, as confirmed by Unzué, will share the leadership of Movistar: "The trend of the teams in recent years is to have shared leadership. In this Tour, both Miguel Ángel and Enric will be our leaders ".

It should be remembered that the telephone team will form a very high-level line-up on this Tour, where it will be able to aspire to both stage victories and a great place in the general classification. The 'eight' will be made up of the aforementioned Superman López, Enric Mas and Alejandro Valverde, as well as Marc Soler, Carlos Verona, Imanol Erviti, Ivan García Cortina and Jorge Arcas. An alignment to dream ...
