At Yamaha, for their part, their backs are covered in the official box, that of Monster Energy, thanks to the good season that Fabio Quartararo is having, and they see today in the Roses pilot more a problem than a hope for good results. Within the team they did not like the statements of their pilot after finishing the Sachsenring race last, they are tired of so much change in their part of the box (he is going for the third chief mechanic) and they will save a lot of money with his departure, because Maverick's fixed is approaching two figures per season.

He has already won more than enough and has no problem running in exchange for a smaller chip than the current one, which places him as the second best paid rider on the grid, only surpassed by Marc Márquez. That is why he has considered alternatives such as returning to Suzuki, where there is no gap for next year, and he has finally signed with Aprilia, where he will meet again as a boxing partner with Aleix Espargaró, with whom he had already spent two years in Suzuki before signing in 2017 by Yamaha, brand with which the relationship has come to an end ahead of schedule.

The next move expected from Yamaha is for Franco Morbidelli to join the official team and for two new riders to arrive at Petronas. There are several Moto2 candidates, such as Vierge, Dixon or Roberts and, coming from the SBK, the Turkish Toprak Razgatlioglu.
