Manchester City set their sights on Umar Sadiq

Sources close to the club confirm the interest of the citizens in the 24-year-old Nigerian forward, who would be loaned to ESTAC Troyes from Ligue 1.

Umar Sadiq reconnects with another team. Firm offers have already been submitted for other clubs, such as Spartak Moscow and Eintracht Frankfurt, and there is interest from national teams such as Sevilla or Villarreal, as pointed out this week by Diario de Almería. Now one of the greatest talent recruiters in recent years joins the bid for the African: Manchester City.

The plan of the English would be to transfer it in the 21/22 season to ESTAC Troyes of Ligue 1, a team recently promoted to the highest category of French football after winning Ligue 2 champions. Laurent Batlles has made a squad that has dominated with a 1 -3-4-3 Johan Cruyff style and has risen with relative ease. Umar Sadiq would be one of the great additions to this team. They assure from the Almeria entity that the offer will arrive soon at the UD Almería offices.

This one-year loan would be part of the City Football Group's business, since in 2020 this club from the Greater East region was acquired by this company led by Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed. An entity that has eleven teams distributed all over the world (Manchester City, New York City, Melbourne City, Yokohama Marinos, Girona, Montevideo City Torque, Club Bolivar, Sichuan Jiuniu, Mumbai City FC and Lommel SK). By 22/23, Manchester City would evaluate whether to have Umar Sadiq for their first squad.

However, Almería continues to refer to the price of thirty million euros to get rid of the tip of Kaduna. With a contract until 2025 and a clause of sixty million, the group chaired by Turki Al-Sheikh will not let one of its highest market values escape so easily. However, his departure seems evident in a summer that, yes, will be long in the offices of Almeria.
