José Naranjo leaves Tenerife

The striker had one more year left on his contract, but after long negotiations both parties reached an agreement. The Andalusian played 49 games and scored 8 goals.

José Naranjo is already the history of Tenerife. The Andalusian and the sports management of the entity reached an agreement for the termination of the year of contract that the player had left. The forward had arrived in 2018, but he never finished showing his true level. The club thanked him for "professionalism shown during his stay at the Blue and White entity" .

In this way, Juan Carlos Cordero has managed to unlock one of the most complicated operations that he had in front of him. Naranjo came from the hand of Alfonso Serrano, a negotiation that was very complicated since the boy was in the Genk of the Belgian League. After much insistence, the sports management signed him for four seasons, but the attacker never finished reaching the level he had at Nàstic de Tarragona.

In total he played 49 official matches as a Blue and White and only contributed eight goals. In the last year and a half he spent it on loan at AEK Larnaca of the Cypriot League where he seemed to find his best version. However, it did not enter into the plans of the new project and that is why the exit was Leonor for both parties.

Ahead of the sports management, more open negotiations to release the budget remain: Joselu, Nahuel Leiva, Manu Apeh, Alberto or Jacobo are some of the candidates not to start the preseason on July 6. For now, the termination of Naranjo's contract is a great relief for the club's coffers.
