The Dutch Demi Vollering (SD Worx) has been the winner of the eighth and last edition of La Course by Le Tour de France held between Brest and Landerneau with a distance of 107.4 kilometers. The 24-year-old rider from Pijnackerm, winner of this year's Liege-Bastogne, was the best of a group of eight cyclists who competed for the victory, winning with a time of 2h: 50.29 ahead of the Danish Cecilie Uttrup Ludwig (FDJ Nouvelle-Aquitaine) and the Dutch Marianne Vos (Jumbo-Visma) .

Although she was very combative in the successive climbs to the Cota de Fosse aux Loups, the world champion Anna van der Breggen (Team SD Worx) took fourth place. It was Van der Breggen who encouraged the race on the second ascent to the aforementioned level, blowing up the order within the group of favorites. The attack canceled the day's escape and created a group of 12 with prominent names, such as Grace Brown (BikeExchange) or Leah Thomas (Movistar) .

Near Landerneau, on the last climb to the Fosse aux Loups it was the Polish Katarzyna Niewiadoma (Canyon) who launched a significant attack in the group of favorites, an initiative that was joined by 7 more runners, including Cecilie Uttrup Ludwig (FDJ Nouvelle ), who tried to go out alone, without success. The race was going to be decided by sprinting. Marianne Vos was the first to start, but the Dutchwoman plunged into the last 60 meters, where her compatriot Demi Vollering passed her to prevail at the finish line. The test celebrated its last edition, since from 2022 it will become the Tour de France.
