Trek-Segafredo resigns from GP Scheldt as a precaution

The team has announced that it will not compete in the GP Scheldt as a precaution after having given up competing in Ghent-Wevelgem after two positives for coronavirus.


After his withdrawal from Ghent Wevelgem on March 28 due to two cases of coronavirus in his bosom, the American team of Trek Segafredo will not be this Wednesday at the GP Scheldt either.The Trek has announced in its networks that it will not participate in the Belgian classic that will take place between Terneuzen and Schoten, of 194.2 kilometers, as a precautionary measure.

"We have decided to withdraw our men's team as a precautionary measure from this race. The team will remain isolated at home for greater safety for a week before returning to competition at the Flecha Brabanzona on April 14th.
