It was an open secret, but in the preview of the match against Bayern Munich Pau Gasol confirmed it: he will make his Barça debut this Friday against the Germans. "The time has come. Tomorrow is the day," the Spanish international wrote on social networks.

A few words that completed what was previously said by his coach in pre-match statements. The Lithuanian did not hide that the pivot will participate tomorrow in an inconsequential game for Barça (they will finish the regular phase of the Euroleague as first regardless of the result of the match) but he did not want to reveal what role Pau will have in the clash.

Jasikevicius assured that Pau "is fine" and that he has been "increasing the pace of training" in recent days. And he confirmed that he will play: "Tomorrow we are thinking of giving him a few minutes but I repeat that we do not know how or how many minutes. We will make this decision in the next 24 hours, there are still two training sessions left." If nothing goes wrong, then Gasol will play tomorrow.

The return of Pau Gasol to the track is excellent news for Barça, but also for the player himself who suffered an ordeal with the injury that occurred in 2019. A navicular stress fracture in his left foot that has kept him out of the courts since he was a player for the Milwaukee Bucks. Their last meeting was on March 4, 2019, more than two years ago.
