Keylor Navas' formula on penalties

The Paris Saint Germain goalkeeper reveals what his ritual is in the maximum penalties. "I am not trying to intimidate the adversary," says the Attic.

Keylor Navas saved Messi from a penalty in the second leg of the Champions League round of 16 and did it again a few days later against Lille in the Coupe de France. In an interview he gave to PSG television, the goalkeeper explained the ritual that follows when he has to face a maximum penalty. The Costa Rican goalkeeper assures that "I am not trying to intimidate the opponent", something that is usual in many goalkeepers.

"I'm not the one who shoots the penalty, but I try to concentrate," Navas said on PSG TV. The Parisian club's goalkeeper revealed his formula to stop penalties: "I trust that God will give me peace and calm to take the correct decision. And I tell myself that I am going to stop the penalty. I often cannot do it, many players are very skilled and shoot well. But if I have the opportunity to stop it, I do my best to take advantage of it. Thank God already I have succeeded a few times. I do not try to intimidate the adversary, it is a tense moment for everyone, you just have to prepare, understand the situation and give everything ".

The 34-year-old goalkeeper is one of PSG's most important players this season and one of the keys to the good role the Parisian club is playing in the Champions League. In fact, his partner Florenzi has described him as “the best of all” .
