Jovic threatens to return

The forward has decided to play for Real Madrid once the loan at Eintracht ends. He has a contract until 2025 and earns a net five million per season.

Jovic-threatens-to-return

Real Madrid closely follows the evolution of Luka Jovic at Eintracht. The Serbian left on loan in January in search of the minutes that he failed to add under the orders of Zidane. The problem is that, although he is playing, he is not being able to inflate his goalscoring figures. In 12 games he has three goals and one assist. Even so, his idea remains the same: return to Madrid and triumph in white.

"Everyone knows that I am officially a Real Madrid player, I will return there at the end of the season. It is logical that I will not be able to talk about my career for a few months," Jovic explained in an interview with the newspaper Bild. The forward assured that he chose Eintracht because it is special for him, and that he can improve his performance to achieve the objectives.

In Madrid they need cash to be able to undertake large operations such as Haaland or Mbappé. In addition, Benzema and Mariano have one more year of contract. He has a contract until 2025 and earns a net five million per season. This complicates the situation for Jovic, which continues to have a market, especially in Germany or Italy, and it could be a good time to recover part of the investment of 60 million euros that was made in 2019. Currently, it has an estimated market value of 20 million euros, although they hope to get between 30 and 40 for it.

Since his arrival at the Chamartín club, things have not gone well for Jovic. In a season and a half in Madrid he has hardly played (1,014 minutes) and has barely been able to contribute two goals and two assists. In addition, he has suffered injuries and has starred in extra-sports controversies that have not helped him. He still has the idea of making up for himself with the white shirt, but he might have run out of time.
